Job Definition

  • Reporting to category manager
  • Developing and implementing the strategy of the category in line with the Company's goals and vision.

  • The implemantation of the new product ranges-selection of the products, pricing and positioning

  • Continuous analysis of the performance of the current range anf taking the right action plans required

  • Handling all supplier relations; revisions of commercial terms and agreements for both locals and imports

  • Frequent supplier, fair and store visits

  • Working closely with the category marketing, merchandising and supply chain team to implement the category's trading plan

  • Continuously working on cost optimization and B plans for sustaining the supply of products

  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics or Faculty of Engineering

  • 2-4 years of buying experience in retail business

  • Experienced in category management

  • Active user of MS Office programs and SAP

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Strong communication, persuasion and team working skills

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

  • Excellent time and task management skills required

  • Ability to travel frequently

  • Able to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
