Job Definition

  • Ensure all C&B functions are carried out as per the client's instructions, with efficient use of resources and technical equipment
  • Ensuring all departments are kept informed of client needs and feedback
  • Support Operations Management team to respond immediately to changes received
  • Attend pre- and post-conference debriefs
  • Assist in ensuring all function spaces are well maintained and complete monthly maintenance checks of all function spaces; develop maintenance program with in-house technicians and contractors
  • Liaise daily with the engineering department to ensure equipment is in place and provide feedback on overall performance and availability
  • Ensure relevant members of the team are fully trained in all aspects of the job i.e. technical equipment, knowledge of space and food offerings etc), and that ongoing training is in place
  • Work with C&B sales to ensure the correct number of covers and room space is appropriate for the type of function
  • Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas
  • Ensure that staffing levels are maintained
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Be environmentally aware

Qualifications

  • University Degree,
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in that position
  • Very good command of English
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Dynamic, goal oriented, dedicated and hardworking team player
  • Calm, efficient and the ability to work well under pressure
  • 5 or more years experience in Front Office, Guest Relations or related professional area. (Preferably in a 5 star hotel.)
  • Ability to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction
