Job Definition

We are currently seeking applications for the role of Business Unit Lead in Salcomp PLC - the international electric & electronic manufacturing company and the market leader in smartphone adapters - that we are consulting.

Company Description:

Salcomp develops and manufactures power supplies for mobile and other electronic devices, IoT sensors based on Wirepas Mesh wireless connectivity technology, precision structural parts and modules, 5G RF parts, and magnetic materials.

Salcomp is establishing a new factory in Avcilar, Istanbul to produce mobile phones. The goal is to employ about 1500 employees. The monthly capacity for this factory will be 300 k pieces.


Assure the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services and processes to meet the needs of the company

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements
  2. Conduct and document regular facilities inspections
  3. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes
  4. Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
  5. Advise on and monitor energy efficiency
  6. Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
  7. Oversee facility refurbishment and renovations
  8. Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and parking
  9. Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels
  10. Ensure efficient utilization of facility maintenance staff
  11. Performance manage, develop and train staff
  12. Monitor expenses and payments
  13. Generate and present regular reports and reviews of facility-related budgets, finances, contracts, expenditures and purchases
  14. Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives
  15. Oversee environmental health and safety
  16. Assure security of the facility
  17. Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures


Experience Expected:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as construction management
  2. Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  3. Working knowledge of procurement and contracts
  4. Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
  5. Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of facility operation
  6. Supervisory experience
