Mondelēz International ( Kraft Foods) - Project Engineer

Job Definition

  • Suggest and provide optimal technical solutions. Execute pre-engineering with cost-calculations, expenditure planning and scheduling. Prepare capital appropriation requests (AR).

  • Develop, conduct and co-ordinate execution of investment projects within agreed financial budget.

  • In co-operation with Procurement department evaluate offers and submit proposal for the most appropriate technical solution, while ensuring it is cost-effective. Co-operate with Procurement department in preparation of contracts, providing technical requirements and details. Suggest selected suppliers to Procurement in order to obtain the best technology.

  • After AR’s approval, co-ordinate, control and ensure installation of new equipment, utilization, maintenance and implementation of new technical and building projects.

  • Ensure that the Project execution on-site is done according to Mondelez International standards and requirements with required quality, time and cost

  • Follow and manage on-site contractor activities during the project execution

  • Ensure all necessary reporting and follow up on the process of projects’ implementation, bearing responsibility for the accomplishment of project within agreed time schedule and financial budget.

  • Co-ordinate delivery, start-up and commissioning of new projects and equipment in cooperation with Manufacturing and R&D.

  • Fulfill tracking of project costs in compliance with company’s guidelines and requirements

  • Owning project tasks and tracking the development of packaging materials from artwork delivery to first production for Intercompany and export business

  • Monitor product and material stocks, propose and implement plans / contingencies to reduce material write-off for Intercompany and export business. Together with Business Development Manager, transform business needs into engineering projects aimed at improvement of manufacturing processes existing at plant/site.

  • Adhere to Environment Health and Safety, Worker’s Health; Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hygiene Rules.

  • Behave in line with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) regulations; company’s EHS policy, goals and procedures/regulations.

  • Understand and behave in line with Mondelez International Quality Policy; become aware of Quality and Food Safety requirements. Additionally, report nonconformity and potential nonconformity about Quality and Food Management System according to Corrective/Preventive Activities.

  • Become aware of position’s ethics and legal responsibilities. Express doubts and questions when be faced with unethical and nonconformity situations and behave honestly to professional business rules.

Qualifications

  • University degree from engineering preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial

  • Good computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, AutoCad), manufacturing applications (SAP)

  • Good knowledge of English language

  • Knowledge of Engineering Economics

  • Excellent understanding of Project Management process in terms of manufacturing context

  • Good analytical thinking and communication

  • Negotiation and Project Management

  • Co-operation and collaboration skills

  • Business Acumen

  • Organization Agility

  • Ability to analyse and problem solve

  • Capable of learning new skills

  • Min. 2 years of experience as Project Engineer with engineering or manufacturing company
