Job Definition

In order to transform SE into an integrated energy & technology company being the energy transformation leader, we are seeking to hire a Business Development manager who will be located in Ankara or Istanbul, who is an authentic and creative person with the ability to work in a fast and agile way. You will be an integral part of our team, that will drive our sales activities across our portfolio in a challenging transformation period and beyond. The passion for a collaborative way of working with our Business Areas and for the development of new energy solutions in a decarbonized way is a must.

What are my responsibilities?

  • You match customer demands with the SE portfolio and strategy in your region and identify leads
  • You tap new growth areas and develop a strong sales funnel and mature opportunities
  • You collaborate across regions in Hub Europe and with defined interfaces in the Business Areas, and you consult experts in the Business Areas to qualify leads for bidding
  • You identify local value add elements and support the establishment of suitable business models
  • You establish close and trustful relations to your customers and design conceptional solutions for them to position Siemens Energy as early as possible
  • You support the transparency of our SE Sales Funnel and capture the leads and opportunities in Salesforce, driving the qualification of leads and turning them into high potential opportunities
  • You support the implementation and continuous improvement of an organizational framework and contribute lessons learned from previous offers and projects


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

· Minimum 5 years of experience

· Advanced level of English

· You are versatile, creative, agile, fast and will pro-actively get into the details and work in a hands-on way

· You have mid-term of direct experience in the gas, chemical or petrochemicals or oil industry with a strong sales background, incl. customer engagement on senior level

· You can demonstrate expertise in Power-to-x projects or in the hydrogen business

· Deep understanding of the European Energy landscape and industry, with emphasis on decarbonization topics

· You have basic knowledge in process technology and solution business

· You can showcase your competence as conceptual problem solver

· You can define tangible concepts and business cases, which take risks and feasibility of the solutions into account

· You have passion for renewables related energy markets
