Job Definition

  • Responsible for the purchasing of the products and spare parts, batteries, installation materials and IT materials etc and related services as well in the proper quantity and to the standards of quality required to conform to approved requisitions and to secure the best pricing and delivery possible, and negotiate the best T&Cs in compliance with Vertiv policies and procedures,
  • Creating and updating database for vendor price lists; issuing periodical meeting with the vendors to help cost reduction and making contracts with the vendors,
  • Obtain materials from suppliers at the lowest cost; consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need,
  • Compare purchase order acknowledgments from suppliers with purchase orders entered into the system to discover and correct discrepancies in pricing and delivery date,
  • Assist in efforts to pursue cost reduction in the guidance of the purchasing supervisor,
  • Market search and offer collection and following negotiations with the suppliers for sales projects at customer offer preparation stage till the approval stage,
  • Track warranty replacements with the vendors,
  • Follow up as necessary through correspondence or telephone to expedite orders, change quality, amounts, material, specifications, etc,
  • Communicate effectively and timely with Suppliers, Internal Customers, and other related staff through verbal, written, and electronic means,
  • Order placing, Review purchase order acknowledgments and correct discrepancies,
  • Continually track transport and other related logistics costs and report to supervisor,
  • Check the supplier invoices,
  • Act according to Vertiv Trade Compliance policy and procedures,
  • Act according to Vertiv Ethics policy and procedures,
  • Act according to Vertiv Quality policy and procedures.

We are currently looking for a new member to our team who will work as PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST -ISTANBUL with the following qualifications:


  • University degree- technical or engineering degrees preferred,
  • Minimum of three years experience in Procurement department within a manufacturing, engineering, or service environment,
  • Experience of purchasing Technical equipment,
  • Experienced in supplier selection and development ,
  • Experience in identifying and securing cost reduction opportunities with suppliers,
  • English language skills (speaking / reading / writing),
