Desired Skills and Specializations- Contribute to the shaping and constant improvement of long-term testing strategy and support building a test-driven engineering culture that drives improvements in quality
- Define, design and implement API and Web-UI test automation frameworks
- Prepare quality assurance plans for development projects, align on quality objectives, and perform software QA activities according to the prepared plans
- Automation of system and interface tests on UI and API levels
- Integration of automated test scripts in CI pipeline and continuous development of the end-to-end framework
- Creation of reports on test status and regular communication of QA metrics to stakeholders and management
- Work in strict collaboration with other QA engineers, product owners, business analysts and developers to align and optimize standards and processes across the company
- Following up and implementing new trends and technologies in software quality engineering incl. functional and non-functional test automation solutions
- Completed studies as computer scientist/business information scientist, graduate engineer or comparable degree
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) techniques and various industry standard development practices (waterfall, agile and DevOps)
- Hands-on experience in test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Xray)
- Practical experience in testing methodologies for API and microservices with hands-on experience with QA tools and libraries (Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, Curl etc.)
- Hands-on experience in test automation of web/mobile applications using various testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework)
- Profound knowledge in performance testing using JMeter or similar tools is an advantage
- Programming knowledge in Python or Java is considered a plus
- Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin/BDD framework is a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration of test automation frameworks (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Azure, SonarQube, Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
- ISTQB certification is a plus
- Proficient communication skills in English is a must, proficiency in German is an advantage
- Ability to get a quick grasp of complex technical systems
- High focus on the details while keeping the business value of software in mind
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn new topics quickly, in a structured and independent manner in an agile environment
- Ability to work in international teams
- No restriction for international travel
