Job Description

We are, as a world energy leader, looking for a Customs Operations Specialist in Turkey organization that will be part of the Customs Team for import/export program support for the Region.

  • Manage the daily operational activities for the Renewables Business Units,
  • Pre-Entry / Live Shipment Support & Escalation Resolution,
  • Gather primary KPIs and leverage Governance tool for reporting,
  • Manage operational and agent performance and work with Customs Agents on process improvements,
  • Identify Business contacts to gather technical information to support import and export HS classification process,
  • Manage escalations for non-response to HTS questions and data requirements,
  • Implement Cycle time & pre-entry escalation reduction projects,
  • Work with business partners to identify and implement process improvements,
  • Provide Guidance, assistance and advice to the Renewables Business partners related to Customs matters,
  • Gather customs data into the applicable business tools,
  • Provide Export Operations support,
  • Implement audit corrective action plans,
  • Maintaining of the operational Landscape and Site profiles with accurate information,
  • Provide Guidance, assistance and advice to the Renewables Business partners related to Customs Authority audits and queries
Required Skills and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college,
  • At least 3 years of experience in Customs / international trade processes required,
  • Knowledge of customs regulation,
  • Ability to use knowledge, experience and instinct to make accurate and timely decisions
  • Understanding of Compliance requirements; ability to understand and balance customer centricity vs. controllership operational excellence principles,
  • Ability to implement simple, fast and non-bureaucratic process improvements,
  • Experience in working with global teams and demonstrates a global mindset,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and problem-solving skills,
  • Experience in communication with customs authorities, included desktop and on-site customs audits,
  • Understanding of Compliance requirements; ability to understand and balance customer centricity vs. controllership operational excellence principles.
