Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Technical Department

Location: Libya

Description:

• We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. Successful candidates will be responsible for designing within the MEP team in taking on mechanical projects of the company's residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and industrial projects.

Responsibility:

• Designing under the guidance of the MEP Team Leader and Internal Unit Chief and ensure that the design is in accordance with industry codes and regulations.
• Develop precise mechanical drawings.
• Follow the schedule and adhere to the deadlines set by the head of the MEP and the head of the internal unit.
• Cooperation with civil engineers, MEP engineers,
• architects and other members of the design team to develop efficient and cost-effective mechanical designs.
• Ensure that mechanical designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Review and integrate mechanical drawings with other disciplines such as structural, architectural, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Ensure timely submission of mechanical projects to meet project schedules and milestones set by the head of the internal unit.
• Monitor the use of design software (e.g. Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD for drafting, etc.) for the development of accurate mechanical drawings and models.
• Helping to solve complex design challenges by offering practical and innovative solutions.
• Attendance at project meetings to discuss progress, solve ongoing issues.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering,

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a mechanical engineer designing residential, commercial, hospitality, health and industrial projects and other construction projects.

• Skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of international codes such as: ASHRAE 62.1: Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality; ASHRA; 90.1: Energy standard for sites and buildings other than low-rise residential buildings; IMC 603.2:Duct Sizing; SMACNA 2005: HVAC duct construction standard; Metal and flexible, etc.
• Proficient in using software used in mechanical design such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of international and local codes in mechanical design,
• It is able to produce comprehensive and detailed working drawings for mechanical plans, details, for residential, commercial, hospitality, health and industrial projects and other construction projects.

Work will be on site in Libya – Benghazi.
