Job Description
  • Ensure the restaurant team has comprehensive knowledge of both food and beverage.
  • Develop and maintain effective work schedules considering operational needs, staff costs, and profitability alongside ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Uphold cleanliness, organization, and adherence to standards in all areas of the restaurant, including Drink storage and service areas.
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and temperature control of all Drink stock, promptly reporting any issues.
  • Regularly inspect Drink equipment and wine lists, ensuring cleanliness, accuracy, and updating as necessary.
  • Monitor and oversee bar operations, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide recommendations on wine pairings to complement guests' food choices, considering their preferences and budget.
  • Uphold high standards of grooming, hygiene, and professionalism among the team, maintaining a positive image for the establishment.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of food and its preparation, advanced-level knowledge of beverage, and comprehensive understanding of beverage products and related laws.
  • Prior experience in renovation or pre-opening environments is desirable.
  • Hold globally recognized certifications in Food & Drink (F&D).
  • Demonstrate experience in restaurant or retail settings involving wine sales and guest relations.
  • Seek to establish and nurture relationships with wine-makers and key players in the wine sector to enhance the restaurant's offerings and reputation.
Required Skills and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or other related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position, preferable in luxury hotel/restaurant environment
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Must be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
  • Must be able to relate to all levels of Guests and management.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
  • Must be able to consistently delight and satisfy our Guest
  • Must have very good communication skills
  • Must have excellent attention to details, and extensive service knowledge
