İş AçıklamasıWith immediate effect, we are looking for a ‘’Technical Manager’’ for Bulk Carriers Fleet to be based at our office in Istanbul.
Main Duties and Responsibilities ;
• Monitoring of and abidance with the planned maintenance program among further key requirements as per Company Technical Management Procedures.
• Budgeting, planning, coordination, execution and supervision of drydocking, repairs, maintenance and warranty works.
• Monitoring and reporting costs and lubricating oil consumption associated with the technical management of vessels.
• Follow up and execution of negotiations with suppliers and vendors authorizing purchases of spare parts, services and consumables for the vessel within Technical Managers authority limit.
• Maintaining assigned ships in Class. Monitoring the classification and statutory status of the vessels, advising the Shipmaster accordingly.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable national and international rules and regulations and the internal requirements of the Company.
• Marine inspections and surveys of the vessels, including performance and efficiency improvement, evaluation of operations and work processes on board, condition documentation and follow up.
• Providing technical guidances and support to the Shipmasters and Chief Engineers, as required.
İstenen Yetenek ve UzmanlıklarJob Requirements ;
• Minimun with a University BSc Degree from Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture Faculties
• At least 5 years experience in a Technical Manager position and min 2 years sea service as Chief Engineer on board the bulk carrier vessels.
• Familiar with the rules of Class, Flag States and has a good command of ISM, ISPS, IHM, EU-MRV, IMO DCS
• Excellent command of English language (oral and written)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Without domestic or abroad travel restrictions
• To be able to demonstrate problem solving ability
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes
• Knowledge of Danaos will be considered an advantage.
