    As a seasoned executive with experience in a global leadership role, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer, and will also serve as a key member of the global executive team.

    We are an organization where acquisitions of software companies is one of our primary goals. You will play a major role in the acquisition of some of these organizations and will be expected to lead transformation of any acquired company within a very short time frame. Our plan for 2018 is the acquisition of 50 companies.

    You will be expected to run a world-class 1,000+ person Software Engineering organization using revolutionary and radically differentiated processes. In parallel you will run operations across a variety of disciplines including Software Engineering, SaaSOps, IT Ops, Support and Finance. You will be expected to hire, coach and manage 5-15 VPs of Software Engineering managing global groups in our factory-like processes with quantifiable business results.

    You will be expected to be an expert at aggressive goal setting and derive weekly productivity improvements to drive significant levels of value and productivity at much higher levels than in most companies. You must continuously improve the quality of your teams using our global talent sourcing. You will leverage your technical depth as a former developer and architect to set a personal standard for excellence.

    You are expected to be proficient at doing deep-dives into problem-solving with your teams and able to leverage past technical expertise in Software Development, Quality Assurance, Cloud Infrastructure, and automated deployments using CI/CD tools.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Be a key contributor in our acquisition process and transform acquired companies within 3 months

    Attain continuous process improvements across multiple operations disciplines including Software Engineering, SaaSOps, IT Ops, Support and Finance

    Hire, coach and manage 5-15 VP-level executives owning a wide variety of critical business functions, but primarily focus on Software Engineering

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science is mandatory (MS or PhD preferred)

    15+ years engineering experience in a leadership role managing multiple teams across multiple products and technologies. This is a global leadership role for a seasoned executive, not a first executive role for a great software development manager

    Proven track record running a 250+ person Software Engineering and Operations organization

    Be proficient at doing deep-dives into problem-solving with your teams and able to leverage past technical expertise in Software Development, Quality Assurance, Cloud Infrastructure, and automated deployments using CI/CD tools

    Spent at least 5 years in a hands-on software coding and architecture role

    Spent at least 5 years leading engineering managers

    Managed an annual IT budget in excess of $25m

    Recent experience with DevOps and Cloud architecture. We live in the Cloud

    Experience with high-end enterprise systems deployed in environments of F500 corporation complexity

    You will be expected to drive higher levels of value and productivity from your engineering organization than any other company you have worked for. You will be responsible for quarterly high-quality product delivery.

    You will build, develop and engage a team from a global talent pool and ensure the team effectively and efficiently solve challenging software problems with engineers distributed around the globe. You must continuously improve the quality of your teams using our global talent sourcing.

    You will leverage your technical depth as a former developer and architect to set a personal standard for Computer Science excellence, and push your teams to achieve your quality bar.

    You will be required to hire, coach and lead 5-15 Software Engineering Managers who in turn will follow your lead to effectively manage their global teams.

    You will be expected to be an expert at aggressive goal setting and derive weekly productivity improvements to drive significant levels of value and productivity at much higher levels than in most companies.

    You will be expected to do deep-dives into problem-solving with your teams and able to leverage past technical expertise in Software Development, Quality Assurance, Cloud Infrastructure, and automated deployments using CI/CD tools.

    You will work closely with our Fortune 500 customer executives as well as key executives within ESW Capital. The expectation is that you are a seasoned professional with excellent English communication skills that can effectively manage executive relationships.

    You will report to the SVP and will serve as a vital member of the global executive team of an affiliated ESW Capital company.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Drive rigorous and regular product releases across multiple, complex software products
    • Establish world-class standards and technical operations to deliver consistent, high-quality products across dispersed, global teams
    • Implement engineering management strategies to achieve world-class productivity and cost efficiency
    • Engage with customers and product managers to ensure that product delivery obsessively aligns with customer value creation
    • Transform existing teams of engineers, architects & development managers into a highly effective engineering function, including upgrading and reorganizing talent as required
    • Engage and align top talent through strong recruitment, mentoring, hands-on architectural leadership and career management
    • Lead product technical due diligence and engineering talent assessment for 2-4 acquired or to-be-acquired companies each year
    • Transform acquired engineering teams into an effective and efficient global model to increase quality and reduce cost over pre-acquisition benchmarks
    • CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (MS or Ph.D. preferred) is absolutely mandatory
    • Been at least 5 years in a Senior technology management position such as CTO, Head of Development, VP of Engineering
    • Spent at least 8 years in hands-on C++, Java or .NET architecture and programming in a hands-on, development-intensive individual contributor role
    • You should have managed teams of more than 50 contributors and have hired and led at least 5 other managers for a minimum of 5 years
    • 15+ years of engineering experience leading multiple teams across multiple products and technologies — this is a global leadership role for a seasoned software development leader, not a first executive role for a great software development manager
    • Experience in Software Engineering focused instead of product management
    • Proven experience in building high-performance teams and scalable best engineering practices
    • Recent experience with DevOps, CICD, and Cloud architecture. We live in the Cloud
    • Experience with high-end enterprise systems deployed in environments of Global 100 corporation complexity
    • An Advanced level of English

    As an SVP of Professional services you will:

    • Lead and set the direction for the Professional Services organization of up to 5-10 VPs of Services and up to 500 total Individual contributors

    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      Evaluate, design, construct, integrate, solutions based on business and operational requirements in a variety of customer-facing and internal business scenarios

      Create and maintain project plans and budgets while ensuring deliverables were provided in a timely manner and milestones were met

      Effectively manage the smooth running of the delivery area (factory), ensuring all stages of implementation are delivered to a high standard

      Maintain and increase utilisation of the delivery team (factory), whilst communicating and supporting our customers and consultants at all stages of the project

      Ensure tasks are completed as required and any issues arising are dealt within a professional manner

      Maintains reporting on capability, amount of implementation work, and future outlook in order to advise strategic direction setting

      Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate business solutions

      Hire, train and manage a Crossover-based team of 5-10 professional services VPs measuring performance using our own software-based metric measurement to improve processes, staffing, and productivity in order to deliver customer success on every project, while achieving productivity improvements of 25% QoQ

      Build, and continually improve, a customer-success focused process and culture based on simplicity, common standards, and metric-based operations

      Create ongoing economies of scale, enabling our organization to become more effective and efficient as it grows
    • CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

      Master degree or equivalent

      Minimum 20 years of work experience in telecommunications or enterprise software companies

      At least 10 years of proven management experience, in a professional services leadership role, managing multiple teams and technologies

      Experience managing technical engagements from concept to delivery

      Extensive experience managing a team of 250-500 people

      Seasoned consulting experience in the telecommunications industry to be able to provide business, techno-functional, implementation and strategic consulting advice

      Skilled at understanding core concepts that enables to have meaningful technical discussions with Software Engineers, SaaS Ops, Technical Customer Support teams, and Project Managers

      Experience in managing multiple, $30M-$50M, complex installations across more than a single product

      Able to credibly discuss in English long-term strategies with F500 CxO-level management

      Strong operational, project management, consulting technology and process improvement skills

      Strong communication/presentation and negotiation skills
