THE TEAM

The Stock Assistant is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the stockroom by handling deliveries, unboxing merchandise, organizing stock, and ensuring timely replenishment on the shop floor. Working under the guidance of the Stock Lead, this role is key to maintaining smooth store operations and ensuring that the sales and visual merchandising teams have easy access to product at all times.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1. Stockroom Operations

  • Receive, check, and unpack deliveries, ensuring accuracy against invoices and company standards.
  • Organize merchandise in the stockroom by category, size, and style for efficiency and accessibility.
  • Ensure the stockroom is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing products for store floor replenishment and visual merchandising updates.
  • 2. Replenishment & Coordination

  • Replenish the shop floor promptly and in alignment with sales and VM priorities.
  • Work closely with sales staff to ensure requested products are quickly located and delivered.
  • Support VM team during floor moves, collection launches, and styling updates by preparing and organizing stock.
  • 3. Inventory Management

  • Assist in regular stock counts, cycle counts, and full inventory processes.
  • Report discrepancies or damages to the Stock Lead.
  • Help maintain accurate records of stock movement between the stockroom and sales floor.
  • 4. Team Support & Collaboration

  • Support the Stock Lead and work as part of the stockroom team to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with VM and sales teams to ensure stock flow supports commercial objectives.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of stockroom operations.

Required Skills and Expertise

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful for this role, you need to have:

  • 1–2 years of retail stockroom, warehouse, or logistics experience (fashion or lifestyle retail preferred).
  • Knowledge of stock handling, replenishment, and basic inventory procedures.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when handling deliveries and stock.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Team player with good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and organize stock as required.
